Understanding Program IP Restrictions (Legacy Permissions)
Updated over a week ago

Organizations using Legacy Permissions can use Program IP restrictions to ensure their users can only access records relevant to their physical location. When Program IP Restrictions are active in your site, all programs must be assigned an IP address or users will not have access to the site.

This feature is best used if you have a group of users who work in multiple locations and should have access to certain information only when they are at the appropriate location. The programs they can access in Apricot can be set to change as they move to other locations.

Program IP restrictions are managed within permission sets. Select 'Sites & Programs' under Access Control in the Apricot navigation bar, open the program and permission set you wish to restrict by location, then add an IP address in the Group IP Restriction field.

Users with the assigned permission set will only be able to log in to Apricot and access the information in the program from the specified IP address(es).

Review the following articles to learn how to configure an IP-restricted program and how users may log in to one.

Feature Availability

Program IP Restrictions is a Premium Feature. If you're interested in enabling this feature, please reach out to the Account Management team here for more information. Administrators can check if this Premium Feature is enabled on the Apricot Settings page under Workflow Station on the navigation bar.
