How do I deactivate a site or program? (Role-Based Permissions)
Updated over a month ago

Programs in Apricot cannot be deleted, but they can be deactivated. Sites can also be marked as inactive by deactivating every program within the site. Once all programs within a Site are deactivated, the Site no longer appears in the Program Badge at the top of your Apricot page.

Follow the steps listed below to learn how to deactivate a program.

Step 1: Select the program

In the Administrator view, expand the Access Control category of the navigation bar and select ‘Sites & Programs’.

Here you will find a list of existing sites and programs in your Apricot database. If your organization does not have multi-Site functionality, your Default site will appear here. Click the + icon next to the appropriate site, then click the eye icon next to the program you want to deactivate.

Note: The kebab menu (or three-dot icon) next to a program displays a ‘Copy’ option that is non-functional. Clicking this to copy a program will direct you to a blank page. Administrators must manually recreate a program and its details for it to be present in multiple sites.

Step 2: Update the details

Click the Update button in the Program Details section.

Expand the Status dropdown field that is currently marked as ‘Active’ and instead select ‘Inactive’.

Then, scroll to the bottom of the Program Details section and click Save to confirm your changes.

When you return to Apricot and click the pencil icon to view the sites and programs you have access to, the inactive program will no longer display. You can activate the program at any time by editing its details again to mark the status as Active.
