How do I unlock my user account?
Updated over a week ago

User accounts are locked after 5 consecutive failed login attempts, preventing access to Apricot.

Follow the steps listed below to unlock your account if you are locked out and cannot access Apricot.

Step 1: Request a password reset

On Apricot's login page, click 'Forgot Password'. This will direct you to the "Forgot Your Password?" page.

Step 2: Enter your username

Enter the email address associated with your Apricot login and click 'Reset Password'. This will send a password reset email to the email address entered.

Step 3: Check your email

To ensure you receive the password reset email, we highly recommend allow-listing the email address and IP address below:

Be sure to check your junk and spam folders for the email. If it shows up in either, you can mark the email as 'not spam' to prevent future emails from going into those folders.

Once you receive the email, click the password reset link to access Apricot.

Note: If you have access to multiple databases, you will receive a password reset email for every database. You must use the link in each email to reset every password and regain access to all databases.

Step 4: Contact your administrator

If for any reason you're unable to unlock your own account, reach out to your Apricot administrator as they have the ability to unlock another user's account.
