Looking to restrict Apricot access to a specific location or machine? Check out this video that walks you through how to add an IP address to the Apricot allow-list.
Step 1: Log in to Apricot
Start by logging in to your Apricot account.
Step 2: View your settings
In the Administrator view, expand the Workflow Station category in the navigation bar and select 'Apricot Settings'.
Scroll down the page to the General Configuration section and click the arrow next to 'IP Whitelist'.
Note: If your Apricot site uses Legacy Permissions and employs a Group IP Restriction on a permission set, any IP addresses entered for a permission set will automatically appear in this IP allow-list. Do not remove IP addresses from this list.
Step 3: Add an IP address
You can find your IP address in several ways, but the simplest is to use a web service to get this information (such as https://www.ipchicken.com/) or by typing "my ip address" into the Google search bar. If you're using a Windows machine, follow these steps to find your IP address:
Select Start > Settings > Network & internet > Wi-Fi and then select your network.
Under Properties, your IP address is listed next to "IPv4 address".
Type the IP address you wish to add to the allow-list in the textbox, then click the Add button.
The IP address will display under the text box once successfully added. Repeat this step as necessary.
Important: If an Apricot site is using IP Whitelist, an approved IP address may not be able to access the site if they are using Cloudflare's DNS service. To verify if you are using this service, use the URL provided by Cloudflare for this purpose: https://1.1.1.1/help. In order to access this Apricot site, the service will need to be disabled. This setting may be on the computer itself or the router, so we're unable to provide exact steps for every case.
Step 4: Manage your IP allow-list
To remove an IP address from the allow-list, click the 'x' icon next to the address under the 'IP Whitelist' heading.
