How do I collect an email or website address in a form?
Updated yesterday

Form fields govern how data is collected and reported on in Apricot. A diverse selection of fields is available in the Form Designer to tailor your forms to your organization's data entry needs.

In the Field Choices palette, fields are organized by category or in alphabetical order within the "All" section. Once you've found the field you want to add to your form, you can drag and drop the name of the field into the main body of the form section.

Continue reading below to learn how to utilize the fields available in the Hyperlink category.

Email

Email allows users to collect email addresses within a record. The email address must follow the standard email format (ex. sample@example.com) and the suffix must be a valid domain in order the record to be saved. Once the record is saved, the email address will display within the record as a clickable hyperlink that will open a new email to the address.

Website

Website allows users to enter a website address within a record. Once the record is saved, the website address will display within the record as a clickable link that will open the website in a new tab in the user's browser.
