How do I copy a report? (Native Reporting)
Updated over a month ago

Apricot's Report Builder contains a Copy feature that allows you to efficiently build multiple reports that may contain similar information but display or analyze the data differently. Consider copying a report if any of the following applies to you:

  • You have a report that meets your needs, but you want to experiment with it without disrupting the original report.

  • You need a similar report for a different time period or group of users.

  • You already have a report that draws on the forms you need for a new report, and you don't want to build another one entirely from scratch.

Follow the steps listed below to learn how to copy a report.

Step 1: Open the report

On the Reports page, select Edit on the report you want to copy to open it in the Report Builder.

Step 2: Create a copy

Select 'Copy Report' in the Report Actions palette to open the New Report pop-up window. This is the same window displayed when creating a new report.

In the dropdown field, choose which category you want the copied report to be located in. Then, enter a name for the copied report and click '+ Create'.

Apricot will automatically load the copied report for you to edit and continue working in. If you copied a report in error, you can delete the copy by selecting 'Delete Report' in the Report Actions palette.
