What graph types are available in Native Reporting?
Updated over 2 weeks ago

Apricot's Report Builder automatically selects a graph type when adding a graph to a report section. To learn how to add a report graph, click here. You can click the green gear icon at the top-right of the graph to open its properties and change your Graph Type.

Depending on your selection, green text will appear under the graph title to describe any properties that are not applicable to the graph type. Be sure to click Apply to confirm your selection.

Continue reading below to view the available graph types in the Report Builder.

Pie and Doughnut

These graphs work best with data that has been grouped on one column.

Line and Area

Clicking the circular arrow icon in the lower left-hand corner will flip which data is shown on the Y-axis on these graphs.

Line

Area

This is similar to a line graph, but the area underneath the lines are shaded in.

Bar and Column

Bar

Bar graphs work best with data that has been grouped on one or two columns.

Column

Column graphs can be shown as separate columns or as stacked (the example below is stacked).

Bubble

This graph requires a minimum of three data points.

Location Map and Heat Map

These graphs are used to graph geolocation data only collected within Address Lookup fields. To create a Location or Heat Map, add the geolocation coordinates to your report section and group the section by this column. This field must be the leftmost column in the report.

Note: Only 50 geolocations can be mapped per graph.

In the Graph Properties, select "Rows" under Data Source. Then, click the + icon next to Properties to add two dropdown fields. Select "Default Zoom Level" as the first property; the larger the value the more zoomed in the map will be to the center point.

Next, select Center Point as the second property and type the latitude and longitude coordinates of your primary city or closest major city to show this location by default when running the report.

Note: Unlike other graph types, maps cannot be exported from Apricot. Location Maps and Heat Maps can only be captured by taking screenshots.
