Understanding Form Building
Updated yesterday

Apricot utilizes a tiered structure for forms, with Tier 1 forms serving as the primary or "parent" level, and Tier 2 forms acting as secondary or "child" forms that live underneath the Tier 1s. Administrators can create new Tier 1 forms from scratch or use pre-designed templates, and then build out accompanying Tier 2 forms as needed.

Administrators have access to a diverse selection of both standard and special form fields that can be used to build custom forms tailored to their organization's needs. They can also configure various properties and form logic for each field so end users only view and collect the appropriate data for each record.

To begin building forms, Administrators can navigate to the Administrator tab and select "Form Designer" from the left-hand navigation bar. This will bring them to the Standard Forms library, where they van view all of the existing forms in their database and create new ones.

Once a form is published, users can access it on the "My Apricot" tab to create a record. The fields on the form will guide users through the data entry process, and the data collected in these forms can then be reported on using the Native Reporting tool.
